Though I am not one of Georgia'a clients, in the usual sense of the word, Georgia and I have been friends for more than 35 years. When I was diagnosed with pneumonia, and the doctors had no idea what caused it, they treated me with an arsenal of antibiotic drugs trying to kill off whatever I had.

Georgia said it was "Mycoplasma pneumoniae".

I asked my doctor, and he said, they don't know, but I was being treated with a wide range of drugs, and I would get better. I did, and I was discharged from the hospital about two weeks later.

Four months after I got out of the hospital, my doctor reported to me that the U.S. Army labs had identified the organism that made me ill as "Mycoplasma pneumoniae".

Did Georgia make a lucky guess? She's not a doctor. How did she know?

About 20 years ago I was having a cup of coffee with Georgia, and she told me that she had had a dream the night before that a neighbor from years past was in a barren room with a wooden table and chair and that she was being forced to disrobe. I suggested that Georgia try to find the woman's phone number and call her. She found the number and I listened to the conversation in which Georgia's old neighbor said she had visited her brother in jail the night before and was forced to disrobe in a small room by an old wooden table and chair...for a strip search.
